22 Feb 16
As of 16th February 2016, BBC Three is longer broadcasting as a traditional TV channel. Don’t worry all your fav BBC3 comedies, dramas and cutting edge documentaries have not disappeared – you can now watch BBC Three online!
Here’s a quick guide on how and where you can access BBC Three online:
THROUGH YOUR WEB BROWSER
The easiest way to access BBC Three is through the BBC iPlayer website. BBC Three has its own section on the iPlayer website that lets you watch TV shows online. All shows will be available online straight away on demand!
THROUGH YOUR SMART TV OR GAMES CONSOLE
Other than watching on your computer or laptop, there are other ways of watching the channel – on your TV even – even though it is now only available online.
Most smart TVs, including all Linsar Smart TVs, support the BBC iPlayer app. So if you can connect your TV to the internet then you will be able to watch BBC Three through the iPlayer from the comfort of your sofa.
Many set top boxes – such as YouView – as well as games consoles like the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 – support the BBC iPlayer app, so you can use them to access BBC Three on your TV.
If you have a Smart stick such as the Roku Streaming Stick this will also give you access to the iPlayer app.
THROUGH THE MOBILE APP
Recently among BBC Three’s primary demographic, young people between 16-34, viewing habits have changed; this is one of the main reasons why the BBC has decided to take BBC Three online.
Rather than watching traditional TV, an increasing number of us are watching videos on our smartphones – so it makes complete sense that it is now much easier to watch BBC Three on our mobile devices. Just download the app for iOS, Android or Windows Phone.
