We are celebrating our 10th birthday!

It was February 2006, the coldest February since 1996, the Winter Olympics were held in Turin, we were listening to Natasha Bedingfield ‘Unwritten’, and our Directors Barry Kick and Terry Reed embarked on a new adventure. They decided to create a new TV brand; a brand that not only provided top-quality feature rich products but also customer service that would really get people talking.
Combining the names of their wives, Lynne and Sarah, they were able to overcome the first obstacle and give their vision a name. This name would represent the brand’s story and principles, and so Linsar was born!
The ten years since then has seen us grow into a quality brand stocked by hundreds of Independent Electrical retailers all across the UK. Our products are also stocked by John Lewis and are featured on johnlewis.com
Our Director Barry recalls starting the brand from scratch ‘Starting Linsar was scary, exciting and hard work. We have learned so much over the last 10 years, our ambition and passion has grown with the business and we believe the best is yet to come.’
We are based on the sunny South coast in Dorset and are proud to be an award-winning British brand, seeing off competition from other global brands such as Samsung at industry awards in recent years!
Having rebranded in 2015 we have a dynamic look designed to give us a more dramatic in-store presence to compete with the big boys. Complete with a brand new website, the aim of our friendly and approachable new look is to build a better and stronger relationship with the consumer resulting in them feeling safe with our brand.

2016 is an exciting year for Linsar as we are launching our very first range of 4K Ultra HD models. We have made sure these models are a cut above as Director Terry explains “In an ever changing market we wanted to make sure our products were really going to stand out from the crowd, we believe these new models will do exactly that”.
